I've always been fascinated by how we move energetically through our lives, including the moments of stagnation and our coping mechanisms. In 2012 and 2014 I had two major experiences of profound loss when my father died suddenly followed by my best friend who had struggled with addition for twenty years. After struggling to find the resources I needed, I began to hear a call to offer direct healing to those in my community. Around that time I discovered the 5Rhythms. Following the maps combined so many of the things that I love, an intuitive connection with my own nature, art in motion created moment by moment, and a space to embody my deepest feelings and emotions. From the first time I danced, I felt an urge to share this practice with those around me. I didn't realise how much self exploration lay ahead before offering this work to others would be a possibility. In 2018 I flew to Utah and attended the 5Rhythms Spaceholder orientation. Since then I've been tentatively holding space and building community. It's been wilder, deeper and more profound than I could ever have imagined the first time I stepped foot on the 5Rhythms dance floor.
