Karen Chapman certified 5Rhythms teacher and DeeAnn Macomson, certified AZUL teacher are offering this wonderful movement experience on Friday Night, Oct 7th and Saturday Oct. 8th!
Description of 5Rhythms: 5Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice that encompasses the Globe, expands across different age ranges, body types, and different abilities of movement. It is a practice of embodiment that fosters creativity, connection and community. We move to the Maps created by Gabrielle Roth which are Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness!
Description of AZUL:
Azul Conscious Movement is a path of personal transformation that supports the awakening of consciousness and recognizes that as we transform ourselves we create the conditions for our world to transform. Azul harnesses the bodies intelligence to facilitate inner healing and evolution and utilizes a psycho-spiritual approach to the soul journey combined with movement as a vehicle for exploration. We move using the Spiral as our form which allows freedom of movement with guidance
Description of Workshop: This workshop is designed to look into a lens of 5Rhythms and AZUL movement practices that will build a bridge on embodiment, authenticity and inspiration!
We move freely and since we are all different, there is no right or wrong way to do it. This freedom allows us to move in ways that support us individually and as a group.
There is No Place Like Home: Returning to the Body Through Movement!
Home is a place where it feels safe, we find refuge, connection, and a sense of belonging. When we leave home there is a different story to tell. How does your body respond to leaving home? Where does home reside in your body? What Rhythms do you find at home? What different body parts do you call home?
As we move, can we move with curiosity, play, and authenticity? Where and how will we move when judgment ceases, when the inner critic becomes the observer? And what can we learn about ourselves as we dance with others? Can we let our feet lead us rather than our minds?
