A very warm invitation to you all to dance the 5 Rhythms with us. Creative and fun dancing with no steps to learn. 

The 5 Rhythms - flow, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness serve as a guide during the session, and form a musical map to enable us to move in our bodies authentically and freely. Initially created by Gabrielle Roth, the 5 Rhythms was created as a moving meditation to help us move from the chatter of the head to the truth of expressing emotion through the body - whether that be joy or sorrow, happiness or pain.. We are a friendly and fun group who welcome all new visitors. Come just as YOU are and dare to be your authentic selves with us!

About Ruth Hirst:

Ruth has been dancing the 5 Rhythms® for 17 years and became an accredited teacher of the practice, trained by Gabrielle Roth in 2010. She is also an accredited Soul Motion® teacher, actor and artist. She is passionate of the healing and transformation that happens through the dance. She teaches a regular class in London, and workshops in the UK and internationally.

Payments: 

All payments in cash on arrival before we dance.

We promote honesty and trust, your payments allow conscious dance in Southampton to continue.

Full Wage - £14

Lower/Concession - £12

Bring a friend and both come for £10 each.

Location: Tracie's Latin Club, St Barnabas Church, Lodge Road, Southampton, Hampshire, SO14 6QS

We hold the sessions once on the third Saturday of every month. 

Time: 4pm-6pm (Please arrive from 3:45pm to start at 4pm) 

This is a form of moving meditation practice and once started the attendees are in a process/journey and words are not spoken. Doors will close at 4:30pm, Life happens and if you find yourself needing to be late, please communicate this with us so we make sure you can still join us.

Parking and transport:

Free parking at St Barnabas church, or on the side roads.

Closest train stations: St Denys or Southampton Central.
