ALGARABÍA: 5RHYTHMS RETREAT

Algarabía is the noise produced by joyful and festive voices, it is also the name given by Christians to the Arabic language in medieval times.

In this time of air, the mind dances in a noise “algarabía”, multiple voices coming from multiple places. It is a time of confusion, of fusion of the multiple, of creation.

In this retreat we dance to learn to dance, to listen and to watch. To move first and then to name. The 5Rhythms give us the necessary structure to move until we find the freedom to be who we are among so many voices within us. A dance of acceptance that reverses the usual direction of action: movement before thought.

Discipline to keep moving without understanding, to decide which voices I listen and which I don’t, to follow the paths of joy and not fall into the temptation of judgement and lamentation.

Discipline to be friends (to make good friends) to love what it is. And for this, we stop to dance 5Rhythms, to repair in our joy “algarabía” and that of the world. To attend in presence to the dance that happens in your life. So that life is full, and we do not miss the beauty and joy that is happening in the chaos previous to the new.
