We'll dance solo, in duet and with the ensemble, exploring our place in relationship to ourselves and each other.

This workshop invites authentic connections and embodied expression. It's for those seeking the depths of being fully present and real with the self and others. We'll learn to sense and feel our multi-layered selves, with permission to feel and reveal more than usual behind our social masks and habits.

The workshop will shift between of 5Rhythms Dance and fascinating Authentic Relating (AR) practices derived from the Meisner Technique Acting method. (No acting is involved in this event.) The content is multi-layered, so is suitable for beginners as well as experienced dancers and confident relaters.

In Heartbeat we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose. We get comfortable with feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away.
