Our bodies are made up of stories. Creation stories, ancestral stories, cultural stories, stories we tell ourselves to do what we do, entertaining stories, traumatic stories and healing stories. Each of these stories has it’s own energy and direction. We tell these stories to each other to share about the cycles of spirit. To nourish, to warn, to let go, to enjoy each other‘s company, to remember…

In each nook and cranny of our body there are stories tucked away - some that would like to be expressed and strengthened, and others that are stuck and need to be released.

And there are also new stories that want to be created from the realm of possibilities.

Within our 5Rhythms practice, we will explore our stories through the different themes of the course the Mythic Body created by Josh Shrei. Themes such as mythosomatics, dissolution, listening, nectar, vessel, union, animism and the mandala of community. I just finished this incredibly juicy yearlong course and received permission to explore the themes through movement.
