BESCHRIJVING

This retreat is in the countryside, on the island of Kemiönsaari, next to a lake and near the Baltic sea. About 2-2,5 hours from Helsinki, easily reached by public transport.

Taught in Finnish with translation into English if needed (let us know in advance).

DESCRIPTION:

Welcome to bathe your body, heart, mind, and soul in the sweetness of Finnish summer and to dive into a deep journey into yourself, your body and movement. This retreat offers nourishment inside and out, for all your senses, so that you can restore, renew, regenerate, reset, and recalibrate yourself.

5Rhythms® dance, breathing, resting and nature are key ingredients in the recipe for blissful being. Each day we focus on one of the rhythms (with also dancing the full wave). We'll explore how each rhythm offers a unique gateway into bliss:

• Flowing teaches us to nourish, soften and ground ourselves in our bodies, open the senses

• Staccato connects us to the pulse of life within us, empowers us into expression, wakes up our passion and gives it direction. 

• Chaos empties us out, teaches us to let go and surrender

• Lyrical invites curiosity, possibility, play, light-heartedness

• Stillness brings us into a deeper source of presence and breath, into the wisdom within our bodies and a mysterious, sacred well of silence and peace

Our beautiful dance space is right next to a big lake, and the walls open up on both sides so it's possible to dance indoors as well as outside.

Teaching is in Finnish with translation into English.

This retreat counts as 5 days of Waves towards teacher training prerequisites.
