A wonderful combination of dance and sweat lodge in the spring of 2026!
The healing power of sweat has long been known to indigenous peoples through their sacred sweat lodge ceremonies.
Gabrielle Roth, founder of the 5Rhythms movement practice, also experienced this deeply herself:
“To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self.
Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past.
Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self-healing — whether done in the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge.
I do it on the dance floor.
The more you dance, the more you sweat.
The more you sweat, the more you pray.
The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy.”
- Gabrielle Roth
5Rhythms
The 5Rhythms is both a workout and a moving meditation for everyone who loves to dance.
It’s a simple yet profoundly transformative practice that brings healing to body, mind, heart, and soul.
The five rhythms Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness — form a wave of movement and energy.
They invite you to move in your own unique way, to listen to your body, and to (re)discover your natural flow and authentic expression.
Sweat Lodge Ceremony
The sweat lodge is an ancient purification ritual found among many indigenous cultures, the best known being those of the Native American peoples.
The sweat lodge at Kura Waka follows the Chippewa Cree tradition and is experienced as a warm, sacred blanket —
a place to release, renew, and reconnect.
Feel yourself embraced within the sweat lodge.
A sacred space.
A time for healing, prayer, blessings, song, and beautiful mythologies.
Where the stones are our Grandfathers, and the water our Grandmother —
coming together to wrap us in healing steam,
carrying the scent of the forever green.
Welcome to the circle.
