Cultivate self-compassion through 5Rhythms® and Compassionate Mind Training.

This online workshop is designed for caregivers of all kinds - parents, teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals, community leaders, and more. Learn to nurture a compassionate relationship with yourself through 5Rhythms® dance and Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) techniques. This foundation sets the stage for exploring sustainable and compassionate ways to navigate caregiving dynamics.

5Rhythms®: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness will guide you in discovering and expressing your authentic self.
Compassionate Mind Training: Understand the evolutionary basis of emotions and learn practices to cultivate self-compassion.
Connect with other caregivers: Build a supportive community and share your experiences.

Vehllia Tranne: Certified 5Rhythms® Teacher, Founder of The City Waves™ San Francisco, dedicated to bringing diversity and inclusion to movement practices.

Chia-Ying Chou, PhD: Founder of the San Francisco Center for Compassion Focused Therapies, psychotherapist specializing in trauma and compassion.

This online series counts toward: 5 hours of Waves and 5 hours of Elective for 5Rhythms Teacher Training

Schedule: Every Tuesday 6-8 PM PDT for 5 weeks (July 9 to August 6, 2024)

Refund Policy

If a participant wants to cancel their registration, they must do so 2 weeks before the workshop to receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. If a participant cancels 1 week before the workshop, they receive a full refund minus a 25% processing fee. Less than a week, their refund is subject to participant replacement. If a replacement is registered, participants will receive a full refund minus a 50% processing fee. If a participant does not show up for the workshop without communicating, their registration payment will not be refunded. Credit towards future workshops is possible on individual cases.

The City Waves reserves the right to cancel any workshop in the event of insufficient registration or other unforeseen circumstances, in which case, the full amount paid to register for a workshop will be refunded to the registrants. In the event of cancellation, an attempt will be made to notify registrants no later than 10 calendar days before the start of the workshop. All other expenses incurred including but not limited to flights and accommodation arranged for the purpose of attending a workshop will not be covered.

NIVEAU WORKSHOP DETAILS

Elective workshops combine the 5Rhythms practice with other disciplines. These workshops hold true to the 5Rhythms Maps and weave in deep investigations that compliment the teachings. This workshop will count as an Elective on the 5Rhythms Dancing Path towards Teacher Training.
