Emotion lives in the body. When our physical movement makes contact with our inner experience, it inevitably touches emotion. And emotion, (expressed or unexpressed) inevitably shapes how we move in the world. 

The 5Rhythms movement practice uses 5 movement patterns as the foundation for physical embodiment, and 5 emotions as the foundation for emotional embodiment: 

Flowing-Fear | Staccato-Anger | Chaos-Sadness | Lyrical-Joy | Stillness-Compassion

In this workshop we practice the patterns of each rhythm as conduits for moving emotion, and elevate emotion as a key element of being fully embodied. 

To build capacity to move with and through emotion fortifies the strength of our hearts and the power of our connections. It brings direct blood flow to empathy and moves empathy directly into the world. The 5Rhythms heartbeat map transforms emotion into art, art into awareness and awareness into action.

This is a 5Rhythms Waves + Heartbeat workshop counting for 6 Waves and 6 Heartbeat prerequisite hours for the 5Rhythms teacher training.
