5Rhythms Workshop: ShadowlandsIt was when I was introduced to the shadow aspects of the 5Rhythms map, that the practice transformed from being something enjoyable and fun, to being deeply therapeutic.
What do we do in life when we feel down, pissed off or out of control? 5Rhythms can help us with this.
What do we do when we flit from one thing to another and just can’t focus? What do we do when we feel numb and shut down? 5Rhythms can help us with this.
We practice dancing the shadowlands of the 5Rhythms, so that these shadow states don’t end up dancing and controlling us.
In this workshop we will explore how these shadows show up in our everyday lives and by exploring how they move, we will aim towards integrating them into our dances as just another possibility of our movement repertoire.

“Shadowlands” is a Waves Level 5Rhythms Workshop. For those on the 5Rhythms Teacher Training Programme the workshop and class will count as 8 hours of Waves Level experience.
For counsellors and psychotherapists, I can issue a Certificate of Attendance for CPD purposes.

Friday 14th November 2025 7-9pm (optional and open class)
Saturday 15th November 2025: 10.30-5.30pm
The optional session on the Friday evening will be an open class for workshop participants plus dancers who do not wish to attend the full workshop - the cost of the stand alone class is £20.

Workshop Cost:
If paid by the Early-bird booking deadline of 17th October 2025 the cost is £100. Cost after this date is £125. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. There are a limited number of crew places available at £75. Please contact me if you are interested in being part of the crew - you would need to be able to attend on both dates.
