A 5Rhythms lightly guided class offered by Sylvia Hoefer mentored by Hannah Lwenthal and Richard Wiltshire.Emerging Waves is a space held by a 5Rhythms Teacher in Training. In this 5Rhythms class, you are invited to move through the 5Rhythms with simple guidance, giving space for your personal expression. Music becomes the teacher alongside the Teacher in Training, supporting your movement practice through the Waves map of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness.
Rooted in the teachings of Gabrielle Roth, 5Rhythms is practiced by tens of thousands of people around the world. It is a movement meditation, a creative path, and a philosophy grounded in the belief that when we move, we heal. Movement becomes both medicine and metaphoropening space for personal insight, and embodied presence.
This practice welcomes every body, every culture, every age, and every level of experience. Wherever the 5Rhythms are danced, a community formsone that moves together, sweats together, grows together, and supports one anothers freedom and authenticity. Here we meet ourselves and each other with curiosity, kindness, and the courage to be real.

Bring light, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely while dancing.
Most people dance barefoot, but you can also wear light and comfortable indoor shoes if you prefer.
Bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated during the session.
If you have sensitive hearing, bring earplugs.
On the dance floor we do not speak with words, but with our bodies.
Listen inwardly and respect both your own boundaries and those of others.
We turn off our phones during the dance.
Bring a towel if you would like to shower afterwards
