Dance Deep
OPIS
I'm embracing my 12th season of 5Rhythms community practice.
We have a good thing going. We've hung in there through thick and thin. Let's do it again.
We'll dance 7-9 PM, on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month
(except for one change to create a special winter solstice class in December).
Floor is open at 6:45. Door closes by 7:20.
Plan to arrive by 7 and stay until 9. If your family or work duties prevent this, please reach out and we'll sort it out together.
Come dance in your own way, for your own reasons, with our community of practice. My work is to step into our dance aware of where we are, who we are, and how we choose to be in relationship. I facilitate dance with intent to learn, to create, and to foster liberation.
All 15 + welcome. Ramp entrance available. Accessible, gender-neutral washrooms. Chairs available for seated dance.
I offer classes with people across and between cultures, colours, creeds,
genders and sexualities, sizes, life stages, (dis)abilities, and health situations in mind and in respect.
Please do not attend with symptoms of any communicable disease. Masking is welcome.
BILJEŠKE
Please pay at the door: cash or card. E-transfers also accepted.

$25 : Sustainability rate
This covers the bare-bones cost of running classes.
$30 & up : Generosity rate
This assists me to continue classes and supports fellow dancers who face money barriers.
$15-20 : Supported rate
When you you have little to no expendable income, and paying for class represents a sacrifice, please pay what you can.
Bottom line : I do not exclude people due to finances, and you are welcome here.
If you want to dance and these prices are a barrier for you, please email chantell@chantellfoss.com to talk about partial scholarship or work exchange.
I set class fees from three commitments: transparency, sustainability, and solidarity.
Transparency:
Offering these classes is not profitable.
I don't offer a 'pay what you want' sliding scale. I use compassionate pricing, which requires mutual honesty to succeed.
Sustainability:
Sustaining regular classes without creating barriers for dancers or undermining myself is tricky. If you need subsidized fees, that's totally okay and welcome. Please increase your fee if your financial picture improves.
Solidarity:
I give my solidarity by offering reduced fee options and welcoming anyone who can't pay. I request your solidarity by choosing your class fee from integrity.
Alexis J. Cunningfolk of Worts + Cunning Apothecary's "The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice" expanded and supported my analysis and approach to a capitalism-resisting, managed sliding scale.
