5Rhythms dance and creative writing workshop
We are constantly and relentlessly flooded with various stimuli – we watch, scroll, read, listen, absorb – we are overstimulated, and our body moves too little and cannot let go and ground all this information. We consume too much, and we create too little ourselves, so our creative (read life) energy does not flow with optimal strength. This stagnation causes fatigue on all levels, a feeling of emptiness and/or meaninglessness, restlessness, confusion - in short, various imbalances in our system. In an age when artificial intelligence can do almost anything for us, creating from our own body and soul becomes even more important - a way to return to ourselves, our own body, heart and mind and their expression, and thus ground and strengthen our vitality.
So we dance and let the movement of the body provoke a flow of thoughts and insights that land on paper in the form of short written forms, words, sentences, fragments, maybe even poetry or songs… raw and stylized; realistic and poetic; personal and universal; sacred and mundane at the same time. What we have written we speak in small rituals, intimate and personal, supported by the attention, participation and testimony of the group. Words are given voice, movement, space, time, attention and recognition. Our life resonates through all of this. Ink and body are conductors of the flow of creative force that fills the gaps, heals fatigue, opens up abundance and like the glue of worlds connects our parts, external and internal - giving us the opportunity to move and be in a sense of presence and meaning, with ourselves and in community.
No previous experience needed, just a willingness to give something from within you.
