We will dance through the 5Rhythms wave together, by the mountains, The Remarkables. When we dance each of the rhythms flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness we practice exertion and recuperation, we re-pattern the ebb and flow of our nervous system, and learn ways of navigating the peaks and valleys of life. We’ll explore the landscapes of the body, finding new ways of moving, creating more opportunities for expression and forging new stories, new relationship relationships to ourselves, and each other.
The 5Rhythms is a catalytic dance practice that brings people together to connect, to celebrate and to ‘turn our suffering into art’ on the dance floor. All bodies are welcome. No experience is needed, just a willingness to breathe and give vitality a go!
Natalie Poole is a 5Rhythms Waves and Heartbeat level teacher based in Melbourne.
