Imagine if we could practice life and relating! Imagine if we could rehearse and refine the relationships with ourselves and with each other. Imagine we could learn to be more comfortable in our skin and in our cells! What happens when we bring our desire for intimacy and our need for boundaries onto the dance floor?

In this workshop, we’ll explore our relationships on the structure and safety of the dance floor, learning how these experiences might echo our relationships out in the world. And we will have fun, dance, make connections and get a little more comfortable in our own skin.

We’ll get grounded, get in touch with our creative juices, reconnect with our hearts desire, and then dance this through the 5Rhythms wave. Movement is our metaphor, expression is our intention, and articulation is our practice.

Together we’ll explore the dances of connection and agency, inviting and making an offer, reaching out and expressing limits. Through movement and relational practice, we’ll play with movement, words, ways of sensing, and articulation, exploring our limits and desires.

No experience is necessary. This workshop is open to all willing movers and groovers. We’ll dive into moving through 5Rhythms practice and explore the relational experience as we go.

Each experience is optional - we’ll be co-creating a supportive, caring container for this workshop in order to engage in this material with curiosity and creativity.

Natalie Poole is a certified 5Rhythms teacher, Dance-Movement Therapist and Intimacy Coordinator for film and television. All hours with Natalie count towards the 5Rhythms teacher training.
