On Sunday November 2, Joanne will lead two events: a morning class (10:30 to 12:30, in Studio A) and, in the evening, a movement and writing workshop (6:30 to 9:30pm, in Studio C).
Evening Description:
Grounded in our movement practice, leading with our breath and bones, we will move, and write, and move again. In this session we will give movement, language, voice, and shape – with thanks, and in a ritually grounded way – to the relations, connections, and allies who support us.
For both events, you are invited to bring an object or a photo to place on a collective altar, to represent any of these aspects you might like to include in your practice, or dedicate your dance to.
For the evening event, please bring with you:
-- a notebook and a pen
-- a cushion to sit on
-- a blanket (or warmer layers) for when we are not moving
-- clothes that are comfortable for both sitting/writing and movement.
Both events will be facilitated in English | les deux evenements seront animes en Anglais.

This is an excellent opportunity for Montreal dancers to taste Joanne’s profound and gentle medicine in advance of her Mirrors 2026 workshop in Toronto (September 28 to October 03, 2026) and her 2027 weekend workshop in Montreal (October 29 to 31, 2027). We warmly invite you to join us.
