In “THE ART OF THE HEART” workshop, we will explore the powerful connection between our body and the emotions that move through us. Through a variety of creative and healing practices, including dance and movement, voice work, drawing, painting, ritual theatre, writing, and massage, we’ll cultivate greater tolerance for our emotional landscape and discover diverse ways to express and communicate our feelings.

My intention is to guide you in developing greater tolerance for your emotional experience and to empower you with diverse tools for emotional expression and communication.

Drawing on Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms, we will journey through five core emotions, understanding their gifts: Fear (protection), Anger (defense), Sadness (release), Joy (upliftment), and Compassion (unity).

Here’s how the rhythms support our emotional journey:

Flowing: Grounding emotions through physical awareness and movement.

Staccato: Shaping, expressing, and communicating the heart’s many voices.

Chaos: Navigating emotional waves and releasing them into something larger than ourselves.

Lyrical: Finding perspective and spaciousness within, remembering that all emotions are transient.

Stillness: Embracing the wisdom of acceptance and our deep interconnectedness.”
