We humans have become disconnected from the natural world
We think of ourselves as separate from it, different, more developed
We’ve become unconscious consumers of its bounty
The impact on the earth and the life that it sustains is all too obvious
But impacts us too, and our own well-being
Let’s take some time to widen our perspective
To feel into the many forms of life we share this planet with
To re-discover ourselves as natural beings
And remember our intrinsic connection to the web of life
Dancing together in the natural splendour of the Yorkshire Dales, we’ll create a supportive community for deep, healing work. Inspired by the landscape that surrounds us, we’ll relax, breathe deep, and let the dance hold us as we honour the natural world, bear witness to the changes in it happening all around us, and deepen our connection with its enduring sacred pulse.
Let’s renew our sense of belonging to this realm of beauty and mystery - and take our natural place again within the web of life.
