Simply Being: the garden sessions - 2hr Bank Holiday Special! 🌱🌼🌳🌸
This is an invitation to move and heal with nature and each other, after a year of lockdowns, isolation and disconnection.
We’ll be dancing outdoors in the heart of Brixton in a private space, and amongst nature. We’ll be dancing with each other (in a socially distanced way!) as well as with the trees, plants and the sunset in a garden that’s been under cultivation for almost two centuries.
All the 5Rhythms are present in a garden. From the earthy flow, to the shooting up of staccato, to the wild blossoms of chaos, to the letting go of the leaves of autumn and finally the stillness of winter.
These garden sessions are an invitation to align ourselves with the creative and healing forces of nature; co-creating together in movement as we dance through the seasons. By dancing the 5Rhythms in this way we can discover a renewed sense of vitality and a oneness with our natural environment.
5Rhythms can be experienced by anyone regardless of their physical limitations. There are no specific moves to learn and dancers can participate at their own pace, within their own capacity to move.
Beginners are welcome!
Classes continue fortnightly on Monday evenings and on bank holidays late afternoons. Full price list and further details please see the bookwhen link: https://bookwhen.com/listeningforthenextwave

Our doors will open at 5.15pm for a 5.30pm start on bank holidays when we will begin our safety briefing. Please ensure you can arrive on time before booking a place. Unfortunately there will be no entry, and no refund, for anyone who can’t be there for the safety check in.
We will dance in a private space which includes toilet facilities.
This is a weather dependent event! We will dance in light rain (please bring a hood to protect yourself and the equipment), however for heavy rain we’ll postpone and you will be offered a credit for a future dance.
The cost for these special sessions is a little higher than usual. The money mainly goes towards venue hire, itself a community project, the silent disco equipment, as well as a 10% contribution to our community interest company which supports our reach out work. Numbers are also limited to give us space to dance, and to comply with government regulations.
Further details including the exact location will arrive in the booking confirmation email. If you haven’t received the confirmation email after paying please email Rich on firstname.lastname@example.org or whatsapp on 07939 128282
We are committed to bringing movement practice into support of growth for individuals, communities and the world field. We operate as a CIC (Community Interest Company) and we seek to welcome all dancers and 'non-dancers' into movement.
