We dance bi-weekly, check our Facebook page: 5RhythmsAtlanta or our Insta: 5RhythmsAtlanta for dates.
Join accredited 5Rhythms teacher, Julie Stuart, on a guided journey through the 5Rhythms: flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical & stillness. This is a devotional & catalyzing practice that is both dance & moving meditation, a way of embodying our deepest authenticity. In our movement we gain access to our inner and outer landscapes. In community we are held and witnessed in our exploration.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A 5RHYTHMS DANCE:
You may initially feel anxious or concerned that you won't do it "correctly" or that other people will be watching but there is no right or wrong way to move your body. There is YOUR way. The more you allow yourself to be curious & open, listening to your inner guidance along with the teacher's invitations, the freer your dance becomes. This process may take a lifetime but its so worth it because what we learn on the dance floor is what we learn about ourselves in life. These discoveries translate directly into our lived experience.
We will dance, breathe, sweat, partner, confront our resistance again and again, laugh, cry in a safely held container, and usually end up in a puddle of joy at the end. We ride the waves in community held by the beat, letting go of what we don't need to emerge renewed, resourced and resilient.
You do not need prior dance experience. We welcome people of all abilities, ages & gender expression. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
