I first stepped onto a 5Rhythms dance floor in 1997 and immediately recognised it as a practice that could hold the fullness of life,its edges and its beauty, its challenges and transformations. From the very beginning the 5Rhythms gave me a way to return to the body, to be present, and a map that continues to guide me through every season of life.

I trained with Gabrielle Roth in 2011 and have been teaching ever since. I hold regular classes in London and Oxford,
What I love most is the honesty of the dance: for me it is raw, naked and real.
the dance is not about escape but about meeting life as it is, step by step, beat by beat,
Outside of the dance, I am a father of four and a grandfather of two young boys, and the proud owner of a senior citizen’s railcard.
