• Flowing teaches us to nourish, soften and ground ourselves in our bodies, open the senses

• Staccato connects us to the pulse of life within us, empowers us into expression, wakes up our passion and gives it direction. 

• Chaos empties us out, teaches us to let go and surrender

• Lyrical invites curiosity, possibility, play, light-heartedness

• Stillness brings us into a deeper source of presence and breath, into the wisdom within our bodies and a mysterious, sacred well of silence and peace

Our beautiful dance space is right next to a big lake, and the walls open up on both sides so it's possible to dance indoors as well as outside.

Approximate hours are starting 11 am on Tuesday and finishing 3.30 pm on Saturday (exact hours will be confirmed once public transport schedules are published in the spring, so it's possible to arrive by bus)

It's recommended to arrive the night before (Mon 5 July), so you have time to land and settle in.

Labbnäs is a wonderful venue in the countryside, on the island in the archipelago called Kemiönsaari.

Labbnäs is easy to reach with public transport from Helsinki. 

Accommodation is in single or double rooms, all delicious meals included.

Extra night, includes breakfast 60€ / person

Price includes: accommodation in beautiful rooms, sheets and towel, divinely delicious food (3 meals per day, plus afternoon and evening snack and tea/coffee), sauna every evening.

☀️ ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Karoliina Valontaival is the first accredited 5Rhythms® teacher in Finland. She's danced 5Rhythms since 2005, brought 5Rhythms® to Finland in 2012, began offering classes as a Spaceholder in 2016, and graduated as a teacher in 2018.

Karoliina is a wise, heartful, grounded, playful, sensitive, and intuitive 5Rhythms® teacher. Her clear and gentle guidance, inspiring music, and exercises invite you into a deeper presence, embodied creativity and transformational experience in your own body. She creates a safe, accepting, and compassionate space, where you are welcome just as you are. 

In her teaching, Karoliina draws on her many years of working with different groups and her educational background in sciences, the arts, embodied practices, and meditation. She is studying psychology at the University of Helsinki and has also studied other therapeutic modalities.

This workshop counts as 5 days of Waves towards the teacher training prerequisites.

GETTING THERE:

The venue is easily reached by public transport from Helsinki (about 2 hours) and workshop start and end times are planned according to the bus schedules.
