During this workshop, we will observe the breath in all its rhythms. Each rhythm invites deeper breathing when you become aware of it. We will discover and feel the connection between your dance movement and the rhythmic inhalation and exhalation. The power of breath is life energy. How many times a day do we unconsciously hold our breath, distracting from a natural, liberating, and relaxed, flowing flow?
Breathing supplies all our organs and nervous system with oxygen. When dancing the 5 Rhythms, energy is released when the movement is connected to your pure, natural breath. This allows your creativity to flow freely, without blockages in the diaphragm. It will be an uplifting, peaceful day of dance with meditation, breathing exercises, and a recumbent concert.
