Indigenous peoples from around the globe have used ancient movement rituals during Hallowe’en, Samhain and The Day of the Dead to honor the thin veil that divides the worlds, the seen from the unseen and the day to day from the mysteries of beyond this realm. It is during this time of year that we the hold rituals to honor the cycle of birth to death and our ancestors that have laid the path before us.

This adult-only event will be at the sacred Labyrinth at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on October 30th. We will be celebrating our ancestors , walking the labyrinth, and dancing the 5Rhythms to help us connect deeper with Spirits.

Marcia will create safe and sacred space to offer a personal gateway into alternate realities. She will guide those with little to no experience as well as longtime practitioners to return spirituality back to the body through ecstatic trance dance.

In this workshop, we will have the opportunity to embody each of the 5 sacred Rhythms: Flowing Staccato Chaos Lyrical Stillness™ and use them as our guide into trance.   We will support each other to dive deep into somatic practice in order to open our bodies as vessels for Spirit. We will dance and have time to share our experiences with each other.
