A final dance under open skies.

As summer gives way to the hush of early autumn, we’ll gather for a morning of walking, moving, stillness, and shared food on one of the most breathtaking ridges of the South Downs.

Graffham Downs is a rare place. A protected reserve of grassland, scrub, and ancient woodland cared for by the Graffham Down Trust. It’s home to orchids, butterflies, dormice, and panoramic views that stretch for miles. The journey there is part of the invitation: a steady 30-minute walk up from St Giles Church in Graffham, along paths that join the South Downs Way.

At the top, we’ll move with silent-disco headphones in an open clearing. Let the land hold us as we dance. Then settle into stillness, a closing circle, and lunch together before returning down the hill.

You don’t need to “know how” to dance — just bring your body, breath, and curiosity.

What to Expect

🟡 9:45am for 10:00am – Meet at St Giles Church, Graffham

🟡 10:00am – Group walk up to the reserve (about 30 mins)

🟡 10:45am – Arrive, settle, and begin movement session

🟡 11:00am–12:15pm – Guided silent-disco dance (approx. 75 mins)

🟡 12:15pm–1:30pm – Closing circle + bring-your-own lunch

🟡 2:00pm – Return to St Giles Churh

Times are gently held. We’ll move through the morning spaciously, with room to land, breathe, dance, and return without rushing.

What You’ll Need

• Comfortable shoes for a 30-minute uphill walk

• Water, layers, sunhat

• Bug spray

• Lunch or snacks (bring what you need, or something to share if you’d like)

• A little fitness and a lot of curiosity
