DESCRIPCION
Whether we are dancing with a partner, moving in proximity to others, finding our way within a community, or wishing we were all alone – each time we step on to the dance floor, we are in relationship. Sometimes these relationships feel easy and can offer us a sense of pleasure, support, and belonging. Other times our relationships – on and off the dance floor – can be uncomfortable, challenging, or downright difficult.Just like any other aspect of our dance practice, relationship requires skill. Often, it contains the potential for great growth and healing. And the good news is – just like other aspects of our practice – whether we are practicing one song at a time, or over many years of sharing space and community, we can learn, strengthen, share, refine, and practice these skills and possibilities, together.
Expect to spend some time moving with others, exploring partner work in different rhythms, and investigating just a few of the ways we can inspire one another and learn to ‘hold our own’ as we meet, and are met, on the dance floor.

Hours: 1:00 to 4:00pm | $30 if paid in full by May 1st | $40 after

A Gabrielle Roth 5Rhythms Waves workshop is the foundation of the entire body of 5Rhythms work in which we expand our class work with a deepened physical expression and knowledge of the essential 5Rhythms and their polarities.
