Lorca is home in Texas and we are playing together! Join us for a PopUp Day of Deep Waves for dancing, Embodied Voice and Ritual Theatre as only offered by the magical movement mystery medicine of the LiveWire as facilitated by this amazing artist.

BREATH IN MOTION

The spirit may be willing but the flesh and voice are sometimes tongue-tied. Yet the spirit longs to break the silence and speak from the deepest Live Wire place within us.

What words express your current state of being? How does the voice move within the shapes of the body? How do those physical shapes breathe? In this workshop we will create a stage for the spirit within to manifest. Theatrical. Articulate.

An embodied language that expands our creative potential and opens the door of those voices within, articulating all our bodies have to offer.

Live Wire Theatre Labs awaken and sharpen those places in ourselves that need realigning, recharging or perhaps rewiring back to what’s most original and true, unlocking the stories our bodies are longing to tell--the poetic landscape that is at the root and heart of our 5Rhythms practice

Lorca Simons was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where she has a lifetime association with her father ’s experimental theatre Hip Pocket performing in numerous plays throughout her life. Lorca performed with HPT in
Scotland at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts theatre conservatory and the Duke University summer theatre program before moving to New York City.

Currently living in the UK, she is developing original works as well as sourcing mainstream projects. She has blazed through productions from Off Broadway to fringe, her talents can also be seen in television and film. Educated in both experimental and traditional theatre she followed her instincts to the unique directing vibration known as Gabrielle Roth and a 19 year creative collaboration bloomed. A certified 5Rhythms facilitator, Lorca is a founding member and has Co-Directed 5RT, the theater wing of the 5Rhythms world. A place she has stepped into with her expansive Texan feet first collaborating on numerous original productions, workshops, and ritual theatre explorations.

She is committed to scattering the seeds of this transformative process.
