** Music streaming of this session geo-restricted to UK dancers under only due to licensing the compliance restrictions of the Limited Online Music Licence issued by PRS for Music, so theoretically anyone can join from the UK but Friday class is primarily for dancers from Manchester, who have danced with teachers in Manchester or who have some affinity to the Manchester tribe. It's a Manchester Tribe gathering that has been put in place to support the community through this period of social isolation. A Saturday "Gathering of the Tribes" class will also be offered to dancers whose usual teacher is not yet offering online classes and/or has no plans to do so. **
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 45 MINUTE CLASS:
Donations to cover the cost of licensing and online streaming are welcome: paypal.me/markaustin5r
Warmup music starts 19:45 and the class starts 20:00. If unfamiliar with the tech, it's advisable to give yourself a few minutes to get organised.
Step 1 is required:
Ton hear the music and the teacher during the class:
https://s2.radio.co/s62ca5e885/listen
(audio should be available about 15 minutes before class 19:45)
Step 2 is optional:
To see other dancers who are joining on video:
https://zoom.us/j/102120095
(If joining zoom, you'll join with your line muted by default *** please keep all lines muted until the music stops *** as this will cause audio problems for all dancers)
(If you need to enter a meeting id, it's 102-120-095)
If you don't have great bandwidth and it's interfering with the quality of the music during the class, try turning off your zoom video or turn off zoom altogether.
When accessing zoom by phone, you might find you are not able to join both zoom and the radio stream at the same time on the same mobile phone. In this case if you want to see people on zoom as well as dance, consider two devices - one for the music and for one zoom - e.g. a phone for the music and a tablet for your zoom video. If your only device is a phone you can still join the zoom at the end of the class after the music stops.
