DESCRIPTION
A fundraising month of Tuesday-evening practices. Let's dance in contact with Earth and for uplift of truth. I'll be pulling out my big speakers to welcome up to 50 movers into the space of "St. Ann's Garden" at Providence Farm. The garden's name refers to the Catholic order of nuns who ran many Indian Residential "Schools" on behalf of Canada's campaign of cultural and literal genocide of Indigenous peoples. St. Ann's School is the name of the day school run on this site for exactly a century, and finally closed in 1964. We dance at this site in recognition of its history, which is yet to be fully disclosed, as churches and government continue to resist releasing the truth held in their records. Current confirmations of the cross-country mass-murder and anonymous burial of thousands of Indigenous children by this system is a reality that we cannot depart, and that I choose to face.I invite groups to step on this patch of earth in human awareness of the stolen children and in attentive respect for the Indigenous nations and communities who lost their beloved little ones forever. I will donate 50% of my proceeds from August classes, and will pass on any further donations you may choose to give, to these projects:

Please bring plenty of drinking water and sun coverage/rain protection clothing that’s adequate for your constitution. If the ground is wet, you may enjoy a blanket for your seated/lying movement.

Yes, please always tell me or a crew member if you’re leaving early, so we know you’re okay.
Yes, please ask me for attention or orientation if you need it during practice, including first aid. It's an important part of my job to track and support you.
Avoid chatting in the space where others are practicing. Feel free to step outside the dance floor to have a conversation.
No phones/devices in the practice space. (Unless you're a medic, caregiver or parent who's on call.)
No photography or video-taking. It punctures others' emotional safety.
No intoxicants.
