An Online Wave offered weekly, as always with our love and support. I hope you are able to create the space in your homes and in yourselves to make good use of them.
You can dance the Wave at any time - and if you choose to do so at 8pm on a Friday (UK time), you'll be dancing 'with' many of our Bristol tribe :) There will usually be an 'untaught' Zoom space you can join at that time to dance it together (see website - please register in advance).
Note: On MixCloud, you may have to sign up the first time you use it. With a Free account you can listen to the same Wave up to three times in a ‘rolling two-week window’ – that restriction is lifted if you pay a subscription, which in turn goes to support the recording artists (of the songs) via the royalties sytem.
We have a weekly drop-in class every Friday night pretty much all year* – see 'Where and When' on our website for up-to-the-minute details.
No need to book, no need for any experience, just come along – if you are not familiar with the 5 Rhythms (or even if you are!) check out our "About the 5 Rhythms" (which includes a short video. At the end of the class, we usually have an informal 'after cafe’, to chill out together over healthy, delicious teas and nibbles.
Our weekly Friday night drop-in classes vary somewhat over the course of the month – in particular including:
5 Rhythms Fundamentals - First Friday of every month
In these classes the teaching will include more detail about the basic form of the rhythms, their innate nature and character, plus their origin and evolution. This is not only useful for beginners… it’s really helpful for the rest of us too!
Sweat Your Prayers® - Last Friday of every month
A guided warm-up then a wave with no words, simply moving through the 5 Rhythms with music as our guide.
*Note: Our drop-in classes are rarely if ever cancelled – if Bernadette is away, we dance with other fabulous teachers – recent guests have included Andrew Holmes, Dawn Morgan, Jean Rankin & Neil Pinnock. Why not join our mailing list and stay up to date with our special nights and guests?
