DESCRIPTION

This is a 5Rhythms 'drop-in' 'Waves' class and every body is welcome. There are no steps to learn. Beginners are very welcomed.

5Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice—a practice of being in your body, at each class you will be free to move and dance through the 5 rhythms, guided by the music played. There is no ‘right’ way to dance the 5 rhythms and each week you will be given space to explore how your body moves naturally through a wave of music.

Ben Grassby will give small tit-bits of information about the 5 Rhythms, this instruction will be minimal and just guidance. You dance/move without talking, without shoes or socks and you dance for yourself.

For the whole 2 hours It’s a real chance to be a free spirit and enjoy moving without rules.

Please arrive at 7pm, we finish at 9pm each week. You go at your own pace!

Wear loose Clothes, bring water and some warm layers.

Ben Grassby is currently participating in the training path to become a certified 5Rhythms teacher.

About the 5Rhythms® - Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms is a philoso- phy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego's hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free. Creativity. Connection. Community.
