On this course we'll practice the very basics of the map of five rhythms. You'll practice spontaneity, body sensing, emotional fluidity, lightness and freedom in your movements. Most of the time we will move during the classes with minimal explanations and some sharings.

Suggestions for online dancing
👣 Install Zoom on your computer. Close other applications, especially your browser, during the session. Only Zoom should be open in full screen. When you're not talking, turn off the microphone. Set the view to "Gallery view" and leave it that way.
👣 The default Zoom setting allows you to turn on your microphone while you speak while holding down the space bar. Perhaps this is the simplest solution, because this way you won’t have to deal with your computer in any other way during the session, just that when you’re talking, you hold down the space bar. (If this doesn't work for you, you can turn this option on in Settings.)
👣 It's good to be able to listen to music on some external speaker, not the laptop's built-in speaker. It’s important that you have good quality sound.
👣 Make room for the dance. Place the device running Zoom so that it is at eye level when standing. Being away from it, you can be seen at your full height.
👣 Let there be light in space. You may feel like you’re dancing on stage, but don’t worry, everyone will just look like a tiny thing on others’ screens.
👣 Do not record any image or sound during the session. It’s a one-time occasion, just like a watch held live. It is important for each other to trust that we adhere to this.
