Sweaty Thursdays is a weekly drop-in class held in Vauxhall, usually held by Christian de Sousa.
The class is rooted in the 5Rhythms map, with Movement Medicine, Taoist & shamanic practices and other influences woven into the mix.
It's a vibrant dancefloor open to anyone who wants to move, offering a balance between focused teaching and practice, and the freedom to dance, clean-out and connect to soul.
Sweaty Thursdays has been running for over 10 years and is somewhat of a legend in the thriving field of London's conscious dance and music scene.
The first Thursday of the month always includes some introductory / back-to-basics teaching, recommended for beginners and old-hands alike.
There is no class on Thursday of Easter Week (Maundy Thursday)
7.30pm-9.45pm every Thursday
(warm-up music begins at 7.15, door closes at 8)
£16 High Earners
£13 Medium Earners

This sliding-scale system is designed to reflect our diversity of access to resources and make the dance affordable to all.
Sweaty Thursdays is held by dancingTao, a Community Interest Company.
We are a social enterprise committed to earning our bread by bringing movement practice into service of people and communities. Your generosity supports us to take the dance to people who may not otherwise have access to it.
Please consider your means honestly - and give what you are able and what you would wish to receive. Thank you!
We do not want finance to be an obstacle to anyone dancing, so if you are unable to pay the concession rate, please get in touch.
St Peter's Church is 5min walk from Vauxhall station (Victoria line tube/buses/overland rail) and 10-12min walk from Oval station (Northern line tube). There is room for some bicycles in the church yard.
Entry is through the Church's side entrance; look for the black gates next to the city farm!
