DESCRIPTION
Join for a two hour exploration of the 5 Rhythms movement practice. We will move through the rhythms of flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness - which creates a "wave". Gentle guidance will be provided to help facilitate awareness and curiosity about how these rhythms are alive and express in your body. We will focus on how we embody change - moving towards and through the threshold of what is known into the unknown and then into the new.NOTES
5 Rhythms is primarily an individual practice, with some work with partners and small groups. Any partner or group work will be conducted with physical distance. No experience necessary. All bodies welcome. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Barefoot exploration encouraged, street shoes prohibited on the dance floor.
IMPORTANT: To honor the spectrum of needs and beliefs regarding vaccination, masking and individual/community health, the dance space will be contact free with at least 6 feet of distance between participants. Temperature checks will be conducted at the door. Please not come to class if you are feeling unwell for any reason. Masked and unmasked welcome.
