Water Bearer's Dream

A Ritual Theatre offering directed by Lorca Simons, International Director of the 5Rhythms® Ritual Theatre Wing

This body of work is devotional art designed to make the personal, universal.

Through nine months of emergent process, 13 women have traversed their own shadows & stories through poetry, dance & vulnerability sharing to create an intentional piece of theatre examining the archetype of mother.

These women have explored stories of love, loss, numbness, birth, anger, ecstasy & more by digging down deep to the marrow of themselves all while being witnessed. Exposed, soft & held.

This process has been unpredictable, uncomfortable, magical & the purest definition of creative.

A process that has changed each woman in immensely tender ways.

Called them forward into their voices.

Built an ensemble that feels like home.

And birthed a moving piece of theatre that will make you laugh, cry & relax into the messy mystery that life can be.

We offer this prayerformance to you... may it be a healing balm, a resonant act of being seen & an opportunity to feel our humanity, together.

In these chaotic times - art heals.

In times where atrocities like 'motherless' can occur - we offer hope, possibility & connection over doom.

As Gabrielle Roth, the creator of the 5Rhythms® practice would say,

"Turn your suffering into art. Your art into awareness. Your awareness into action."

This has been our prayer.

Water Bearer's Dream 2026 is an extenuation of the project which first began many moons ago between Lorca Simons & Gabrielle Roth as a prayer to call in Lorca's desire for a child. Her son, River, is now entering the world of adulthood as Lorca circles back to explore mother from brand new territory.

Lorca Simons is the Artistic Director of the Live Wire 5Rhythms® Ritual Theatre Wing, devoted to the creation of embodied ritual theatre that is both interactive and transformative. Her work explores the meeting place of conscious movement, ritual theatre, and embodied artistry, awakening embodied intelligence and the visionary imagination of the soul. She creates revolutionary theatre that dissolves the fourth wall—and all the walls that separate us.

For more than three decades, Lorca has been creating original embodied theatre experiences throughout the world, cultivating spaces where art becomes ritual, presence becomes an art form, and dance becomes a living prayer.

An internationally certified 5Rhythms® facilitator, Lorca is devoted to the shape-shifting beauty of ensemble and to the fertile meeting place of the healing and creative arts. Through movement, imagination, and embodied storytelling, she invites people to awaken their unique creative voice and step more fully into the poetry, mystery, and intelligence of the body.

Lorca creates original theatre in 5Rhythms communities around the world. Her work honours the extraordinary creative potential within every body and is dedicated to scattering the seeds of this transformative process wherever she travels.

Wyld has been the on the ground Ensemble Weaver, supporting the holy actors in becoming more visible, more embodied & more willing to improvise with whatever shows up during rehearsal.

Wyld brings an educational background of Theatre Arts & Women's Studies alongside two decades of single motherhood & a decade of lived experience supporting women through her work in The Fempyre.

Being part of this emergent experience has been a moment that shows you truth - all the choices made up to this point have, in fact, been for a reason. This show is that reason - it has made life as a creative feel holy.
