Trust comes naturally when we are grounded and centered. In this state, we perceive the truth about ourselves, others, and the world around us, and we act accordingly. We move fluidly between being open and being guarded, depending on the situation. Trust doesn't mean we have no boundaries—it means we recognize that the deeper current of life is benevolent and oriented toward our highest good.
Yet within all of us, there exists a pattern of distrust. This voice tells us it's a dog-eat-dog world, and to survive, we need to be bigger, smarter, faster, stronger, and more creative than everyone else. For some, this pattern appears only on occasion; for others, it becomes a daily way of life. In either case, when can we fall into this pattern, we become overly driven or frozen in an attempt to protect ourselves from the perceived dangers of the world.
It is a practice of learning trust, even when we feel we are bad, or when someone is telling us we are wrong. In this workshop, we will create a safe container and bring embodied consciousness to the vulnerable places within that hold distrust for ourselves, others, and the world we live in. We will strengthen the knowing of our inherent goodness and find our grounded center, where we can co-create relationships and the life and world we long for.
