Dancing with Ancestors is an immersive journey with Sylvie Minot, using movement, sound, and the 5Rhythms to explore often unconscious family/ancestral patterns, offering a way to shift and release them gently, potently.

Through guided dance and ritual, you’ll connect with the wisdom of your lineage and open new pathways for healing and transformation.

In this workshop, we will dance with our ancestry, which lives in our heart, soul, collective memory, and DNA. Calling on the wisdom and medicine of our lineage, the power of ancestral lands, and the spirit of the animal clans to guide our dance on this journey. We beckon our bloodlines, spirit animals, and sacred guides to help navigate a magical ancestral journey.

Through dance, movement, voice/sound, and guided group exercises, Sylvie uses each of Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms—flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness—to honor your past and create new pathways for healing.

5Rhythms is a simple meditative movement practice designed to release the dancer within every body, regardless of shape, size, age, or experience. While the dance itself is simple, it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression.

All levels of fitness and agility are invited to participate. All are welcome, and no prior dance training or ability is required.
