Our bodies hold our stories, and as we separate our stories from our emotions, the stories become our history, and our emotions are free to move and dance. By giving these emotions voice and shapes, we unlock the heart and release its limitless power to heal.
Often described as a catalytic shape-shifter, Sylvie Minot meets people right where they are and moves with them into new possibilities. She received her BA in Dance from San Jose State University and has a Master's in Theology. She is a certified 5Rhythms and Heartbeat teacher, trained by Gabrielle Roth, and has taught since 2000.
Over the course of 30 years, she has studied psychology, indigenous healing rituals, energy medicine, and sound healing. Her inspiration is drawn from the teachings of Angeles Arrien, Carolyn Myss, and Tito La Rosa.
Sylvie is the Founder and Executive Director of Syzygy Dance Project, a non-profit organization that transforms lives through dance. She has brought dance to inmates, people in recovery, veterans and blind veterans, corporations, health care professionals, elders, and people with chronic illness.
Sylvie is writing a book about her life's work. Her teaching is the culmination of these experiences put into motion.
