Inertia
A tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged. Opposing any agency that attempts to put it in motion, or if it’s moving, opposes any change in the magnitude or direction of it’s velocity. This opposition can take many forms, “I’m tired, I’m bored, I won’t . . .”
Essential flow
to fall into organic motion, surrendered to and ushered by grounded energy, following our intuitive guidance in movement. Our essential flow leads us to our destiny, to our healing, and out of deeply ingrained habits of self-sabotage.
Tomorrow, we will listen for the difference between our shadows of flow and our life-giving, life-sustaining movement that can so often be unheard, ignored, or mistrusted. Listening to, hearing and responding to our internal flow is a self-caring kindness that will aid us in unsticking ourselves from those pitfalls of shadow flow that are difficult to see.
“When you fall into the shadow side of your rhythm, your ego seduces you off the path of your destiny. The ego is destined only for dead ends. Sabotage is its modus operandi. Flowing folks get trapped in their own inertia. Staccato guys get tense and rigid. Chaos divas devolve into confusion. Lyrical souls space out. And sweet still waters, although they run deep, can also freeze and become numb.”~ Gabrielle Roth, Connections
In this one-day workshop we will explore the pure expression of the 5Rhythms and also how they can be distorted.
