DESCRIPTION
Welcome to a one-day 5Rhythms® creative dance and movement meditation workshop. We will let go of the old year and create space for the new year. Through movement and embodied practice we can gather and integrate our experiences from the last year and arrive where we are now. Dancing allows us to do an inner inventory, let go of and clear out what we no longer need, and prepare our ground for where we're going next. This workshop is also an opportunity to practice embodied gratitude and acceptance, allowing us to move forward with grace. Dancing is an invitation to take steps towards what we truly want and need in the coming year. Maybe they're sure-footed, determined, and courageous steps, maybe tiny baby steps, maybe they're uncertain and wobbly. Whatever your steps are like, come and explore your embodied journey into the promising space of new beginnings.VENUE:

ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Karoliina Valontaival is the first accredited 5Rhythms® teacher in Finland. She's danced 5Rhythms since 2005, brought 5Rhythms® to Finland in 2012, began offering classes as a Spaceholder in 2016, and graduated as a teacher in 2018.
Karoliina is a wise, heartful, grounded, playful, sensitive, and intuitive 5Rhythms® teacher. Her clear and gentle guidance, inspiring music, and exercises invite you into a deeper presence, embodied creativity and transformational experience in your own body. She creates a safe, accepting, and compassionate space, where you are welcome just as you are.
In her teaching, Karoliina draws on her many years of working with different groups and her educational background in sciences, the arts, embodied practices, and meditation. She is studying psychology at the University of Helsinki and has also studied other therapeutic modalities.
