DESCRIPTION
Our life giving forces reside in us from the moment we are conceived. Without them we would be unable to breathe, move, grow. We so often forget about these forces within us, sometimes taking them for granted, and sometimes we feel they are depleted or completely gone. But – as Endre Ady, Hungarian poet once wrote – “life is alive and want to stay alive”. It’s pulse is there in each cell, each gene, each movement and each breath.When pay attention, we are able to connect to our life giving forces again and again. We have the capacity to do this, and we are able to notice all the different ways and occasions when this truly happens. Dance is one of the most simple and efficient way to find the equilibrium of our life force and to find all those things which nourish us. In this way we can grow through dance. This isn’t some magic or miracle, this is committed practice.
The forces that Gabrielle talks about – being, loving, knowing, seeing, and healing – they are always with us. On this workshop we focus on how to notice them and how to nourish them. We’ll use physical movements to grow the strength of our souls.
Everybody is welcome, no previous dance or other experience is needed. Just come and move.
