A 5Rhythms Waves workshop on the longest day of the year. Suitable for beginners and experienced dancers alike.
On this day of peak light the invitation is to gather and grow vitality.
We resource our dance with the 5Rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness.
Intent - to uncover and release obstacles with somatic exercises and vocal sharing.
Purpose - to open blockages and allow the natural authentic self to be expressed in 5Rhythms dance.
To encourage vitality to grow pause is needed. Integral to this dance process is sharing and reflection about what arises in the movement journey. Listening is key. In the spaciousness of a full day there is time for gentle resting and nesting. Journalilng is encouraged.
Mary brings extensive experience of 5Rhythms grounded in her body. She offers a sensitive awareness to this workshop, with gratitude to the earth and sun for her vitality. She is living testimony to the transformative power of the 5Rhythms practice.
Mary Hedger is an accredited 5Rhythms Teacher, all hours danced with her count as study towards the teaching path. This workshop counts as 1 day at Waves level.
