DESCRIPTION
Held by the fluid creativity of dance and the clear structure of ritual, this is a day for those who want to commit to a deep exploration of their role in the larger network of life.By inviting various animal and elemental spirits to dance with us (and through us), we will bring to the surface some of our own strengths and powers that we may have been avoiding or denying. We’ll have a specific intention to embody whatever power will most support us, and our communities, through whatever challenges lie immediately ahead.
What wisdom might we learn from a bear emerging from her long sleep; a snake silently stalking its prey; an octopus literally changing shape and size, to negotiate an ever-changing environment; a swallow, effortlessly finding its place in the shifting pattern of the flock; or the fierceness and fierce loyalty of the wolf?
And what might any of these creatures gain from a dance with the Strange Animal that is a human?
Music for the day will be provided by ritual drummer Jake Madhatter, and spoken guidance by 5Rhythms teacher Ben Deutsch. Both Jake and Ben have a deep interest in bringing breath and awareness to the places where different Worlds intersect:
- The World of Humans and the World of Animals
- The World of the Surface and the World of the Depths
- The World of Sensing and the World of Dreaming
- The World of Knowing and the World of Imagining
- The World of the Individual and the World of the World.
NOTES
Early bird bookings (booked and paid before 15th February) are £30.
After that, the price is £45 (Standard price), £35 (concession)
The workshop runs from 11am to 4pm - there will be a break during that time to eat and socialise.
Jake and Ben will also be offering a drop-in 5Rhythms class in Mytholmroyd later the same day.

If the organisers cancel the workshop for any reason, then you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel your place on the workshop with at least 48 hours notice, you will receive a 50% refund.

A Gabrielle Roth 5Rhythms Waves workshop is the foundation of the entire body of 5Rhythms work in which we expand our class work with a deepened physical expression and knowledge of the essential 5Rhythms and their polarities.
