An invitation to join me in a movement exploration around the art of loving within the map of the 5Rhythms®.
To those who are new to this practice, the 5Rhythms® is a dynamic movement meditation practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself.
We move through an arc of energy, or a wave, through varying states of being we call Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. We move with what is here.
You can learn more online through www.5rhythms.com
I will guide us, during this extended class, through a number of waves supported by music and there will be space for enquiry and checking in together.
Throughout all epochs of time, it seems that we never tire of talking about and exploring what is almost impossible to condense into the space of four letters; Love.
My invitation during our time together will be around ways that we make Love tangible and embodied through movement.
Loving through the practice of listening and leaning into what we find. Loving through the practice of courageously meeting ourselves as we really are, and from this place, courageously meeting another.
There is nourishment to be gained from the inside out as well as the outside in.
In the words of David Whyte,
'Love is a close secret we keep, even from ourselves... Love is the destination for which we are unconsciously packed and ready to go, but love we find, is always the place that is disguised as somewhere else. Love takes us deeper while subverting what we imagined deeper meant.'
