If the body is the cauldron, and the heart lights the fire, can we dissolve the scattered fragments of our mind and personality, to make medicine for the soul? Can we do this for ourselves and for each other? Can we become medicine for the World?
If you are ready for change, if your life seems stuck, or you keep repeating the same patterns, then maybe this workshop is for you. By putting every part of ourselves into the cauldron of the dance, by releasing what we no longer need, by choosing to stir the pot of our own lives, we will invite transformation.
As well as dancing together, we will take time to talk, to eat together, and to create rituals that embody our desire for change.
The setting is the Old School Room in Haworth - an historic building in a beautiful location. We will be close to the wild beauty of the moors, and dancing our dance in the same space where the Bronte sisters once taught local children. Our work will be guided by Gabrielle Roth’s maps of the 5Rhythms, a physical practice that creates space for change and reconnection.
The space will be held by Ben Deutsch who has been teaching 5Rhythms since 2016, and live music will be provided by multi-instrumentalist Jake Madhatter Caswell.
On the Saturday evening, we will hold The Transformation Party - an optional (but recommended) part of the workshop, where there will be the opportunity to share food; to perform songs, poems or stories and to celebrate our journey of becoming.
