DESCRIPTION
What keeps us distanced? Separate? Habituated?Masks have been employed by most global cultures since prehistory in potent ceremony & ritual. Not only
crafted symbols, masks can evoke forces beyond the wearers’ abilities, bringing the mystical into the tangible.
Drawing from the timeless we‘ll create, move and explore many of the masks we wear to live and make
our way in the world while dancing into a deeper level of authenticity. Meeting aspects of our alteregos
we’ll invite and employ them into fluid alignment. Using dance and working with created elements and
expression we’ll engage layers of meaning and held patterns, inviting recognition, release and repatterning. Join us in unifying some of our disenfranchised aspects with generosity and compassion.
NOTES
Resources will involve creative mask construction, theater games, deep dancing and writing. This work has long been a passion of mine, and it is a privilege to share this opportunity for transformation with you in a meaningful heart held space. Hving led this workshop in Australia several times it remains a favorite process for meeting and experiencing ourselves.
