The first time I stepped into a 5Rhythms class, I was struck by how free, safe, and creative the atmosphere felt. It was like entering a room where nothing had to be proven and everything was allowed to exist. Afterwards, the food tasted better — and something inside me had awakened.
Today, in the midst of work and family life, 5Rhythms is a lifeline — a place where I replenish my vitality and allow my nervous system to settle. From there, I can meet myself and the world with greater presence and flexibility.
If nothing else, it’s a fun and playful form of exercise. At its best, it’s a deep invitation back to the body’s innate intuition and intelligence — something that always proves useful, whether in the crush of a crowded bus, speaking in front of a group, or simply walking down the street.About Emerging Waves
Emerging Waves is a space held by Anneli Radestad, 5Rhythms Teacher in Training. This practice welcomes every body, every culture, every age, and every level of experience. Wherever the 5Rhythms are danced, a community forms—one that moves together, sweats together, grows together, and supports one another’s freedom and authenticity. Here we meet ourselves and each other with curiosity, kindness, and the courage to be real.
