HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Make sure you have a device that will work well for class:
1) A desk/laptop computer or tablet, ideally with external speakers or wireless headphones/earbuds. (If you don’t have external speakers or earbuds, your device’s speakers will work fine, the audio will just be more limited.)
- A smartphone can work, but will limit your participation in a few ways.
- Your device should have a camera. The built-in ones are fine.
2) Register! (https://forms.gle/ai5nUC7EMQfLY2ja9) Once you have registered you will receive an email with the link for the class in time for Saturday.
3) Consider making a donation (suggested $5-$20), to help cover the teaching and online music licensing fees. Please pay what you can via Joel on Venmo (https://venmo.com/Joel-Stanley-1) or PayPal (http://www.paypal.me/JoelStanley).
4) Choose and set up a dancing space for yourself–somewhere you will feel comfortable moving uninterrupted for our time together. Arrange the space to be calming/welcoming/inspiring for you. That might mean sweeping, adjusting lighting, draping cloths over distracting items.
5) When you join us online, best to use a computer rather than phone or tablet, and choose “Gallery View†on Zoom.
We suggest that you log on 10-15 minutes early, so that you can begin to warm up and we can help you with any technical details. Note that if you have not downloaded Zoom before, you will be prompted to do so, which will add a couple minutes to your getting set up.

About 5Rhythms®:
Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms® are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego's hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.
Creativity. Connection. Community.
About Ajay Rajani:
Ajay Rajani is an accredited teacher of the 5Rhythms who trained with Jonathan Horan, son of Gabrielle Roth, in 2014. Ajay was born in Africa with Indian roots and grew up in London, England where he thrives in a diverse, multicultural community speaking five international languages. His spiritual journey began over a decade ago with a strong practice of seated meditation and this continues to inform his 5Rhythms teaching where he inspires embodying the moment and allowing your body to be your greatest teacher.
This class is offered as part of the 5Rhythms® Sweat SpaceHolder™ mentorship program. Joel is mentored by Ajay Rajani of 5Rhythms® London and Tammy Burstein of 5Rhythms® New York.
