Samantha believes in the power of vulnerability, the strength of connection, the beauty of the breakdown, the potential of compassion, and the courage of embodiment. She believes in the resilience of the body’s ability to transform suffering into art.
For over twenty years, Samantha has been teaching embodiment practices and promoting a sacred laboratory for students to investigate their profound bodies of work through movement. Samantha offers a safe, nourishing, connected container to explore the complexities and polarities of being awake and alive. She shares her infectious curiosity, permission, fascination and humility in her dance. With a keen awareness of physical injury and trauma, she weaves in support to help empower students to self-regulate the nervous system and to meet themselves exactly where they are with radical loving kindness. Samantha lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her Beloved and fellow teacher Jeffrey and their children.
